Richard grew up bilingual, knowing the importance—and joy—of language. His mother and father were of Hungarian and Russian heritage, respectively, and the family moved to Mexico City when Richard was three years old.
Translation agency work later prompted Richard to create his own company. He opened Richard Schneider Enterprises, Inc. (RSE) on October 1, 1980 : starting with a post office box, a beeper, and $30. Most important, Richard founded his business on a genuine desire to serve and a sincere passion for the profession.
Richard was then a one-man show, serving as interpreter as well as front and back office. Clients called with a pressing need for a Spanish interpreter, and Richard would fly out of the office to fulfill the request. Other callers would simply have to wait for his return. That was some 27 years ago. Now, Richard credits a loyal and hard-working staff for running operations smoothly. RSE still serves last-minute interpretation and translation needs, but these days a wealth of professionals help deliver the outstanding services for which the company is known.
